System Requirements

INeedPrompt works on:

• Chrome-based browsers: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi
• Operating Systems: Windows, macOS, Linux
• Minimum Chrome version: 88+

Installation Steps

1. Install from Chrome Web Store

1. Visit the Chrome Web Store
2. Search for "INeedPrompt"
3. Click Add to Chrome
4. Confirm by clicking Add Extension

2. First-Time Setup

After installation, you'll see the INeedPrompt icon in your browser toolbar.

1. Click the INeedPrompt icon
2. Click Sign In
3. Choose your sign-in method:
   • Google Account
   • GitHub Account

3. Verify Installation

To verify INeedPrompt is working:

1. Go to any website with a text input field
2. Click in the text field
3. Press ⌘/Ctrl + I
4. You should see the prompt completion interface appear

Permissions

INeedPrompt requires the following permissions:

• activeTab: To work on the current page you're viewing
• storage: To save your preferences and credit balance
• identity: For authentication with Google/GitHub

Troubleshooting

Extension Not Appearing

If you don't see the INeedPrompt icon:

1. Check if the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions
2. Pin the extension to your toolbar
3. Restart your browser

Shortcut Not Working

If ⌘/Ctrl + I doesn't work:

1. Check for keyboard shortcut conflicts in chrome://extensions/shortcuts
2. Reassign the shortcut if needed
3. Make sure you're focused on a text input field

Sign-In Issues

If you can't sign in:

1. Clear your browser cache and cookies
2. Try a different sign-in method
3. Disable ad blockers temporarily
4. Contact support@ineed-prompt.com

Updating the Extension

INeedPrompt updates automatically through the Chrome Web Store. To manually check for updates:

1. Go to chrome://extensions
2. Enable Developer mode
3. Click Update

Uninstalling

To remove INeedPrompt:

1. Right-click the extension icon
2. Select Remove from Chrome
3. Confirm the removal

Your account and remaining credits will be preserved if you reinstall later.
